Cambridge Volunteers
Cambridge Volunteers (CV) strengthens civic engagement and supports the nonprofit sector by recruiting an effective and inclusive volunteer corps for agencies serving residents of Cambridge, MA. CV outreach helps to fill local, mission-critical volunteer openings annually. Some 6,000 local residents and employees are introduced to Cambridge’s rich volunteering landscape through our comprehensive, searchable, online volunteer jobs database, our frequent Find Your Mission workshops, individual guidance, and unique, remote Volunteer Fairs. Individuals can find a supportive space to consider first-time nonprofit leadership roles in our Board Member Basics workshops. We encourage knowledge-sharing and strong ties among organizations citywide that rely on volunteers to deliver services. We host their volunteer engagement staff for quarterly Volunteer Management Meetings, to discuss common challenges and best practices. Businesses advised by Cambridge Volunteers put the community first when fulfilling their civic engagement agendas. We have been proud to serve as Cambridge's premier volunteer hub for more than three decades.
